Irrigation Shut Down – Completed Oct 11, 2025 at 1:00PM
The HOA has shut down the irrigation for 2025. We are still actively working the ditch blockage so you might see lake filling activity. Homeowners, please winterize your systems by draining and performing a sprinkler blowout so we don’t have issues starting up the system in the Spring.
STILL PENDING – Ditch Blockage Found! – On Friday, Sept 26, Section 18 water association notified the HOA that after three days of jetting (power washing) and using robot cameras to traverse over 2000 feet of covered ditch, a root ball blockage was found in the pipe under Saddleback golf course. After several unsuccessful attempts, the contractor was unable to remove the blockage and will attempt to try a “chainsaw” jetting tool. Section 18, Coal Ridge Ditch, and SPS (contractor) are in close communication with the HOA and holding meetings about it. See picture video below and click it to watch the video.
What does this mean for Owl Lake HOA water in the short term? – Due the blockage, Owl Lake will not be able receive any significant flow of water to keep up with demand for the rest of 2025. The HOA estimates we will use more water than we are bringing in for the short term unless the blockage is cleared.
The HOA encourages everyone to conserve, switch to every other day watering day or switch to town watering if feasible. This will help us extend the watering season as long as possible but note we may need to shut down prior to our Oct 11 shutdown date. Thanks for your cooperation!
Recreational Vehicles and Trailers: Let’s get these stowed away
It’s summer and time to have fun, but please remember to stow away your recreational vehicle when not in use or actively fixing. The covenants state; No boat, camper, trailer, recreational vehicle or other non-running vehicle or similar device shall be stored or permitted to remain on any lot within public view for more than three (3) consecutive days unless within an enclosed garage, or within an enclosed interior privacy fenced area. (See Section 6.09)
